YouTube Stops Broadcasting Itself in the UK
Youtube is blocking access to all premium music videos that were previously available to UK internet users, after failing to reach a licensing deal with the Performing Rights Society (PRS). Guitarist Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine has a new band, called Street Sweeper, with Boots Riley from political hip hop group The Coup. The band’s debut album is recorded, and the single Fight! Smash! Win! can be heard at streetsweepermusic.com. Kutiman Remixes YouTube Musicians
Israeli artist Kutiman has developed a new project called ThruYou, which combines samples from a wide range of uploaded videos on Youtube, and remixes the sounds to make full compositions.
